Format: Originally written as a three-act theatre restaurant production, Johnny V Devil can be readily adapted into a traditional two-act format to suit the needs of the venue or production company.

Johnny wants fame. The Devil wants his soul. And neither of them knows when to quit.

Hopeless fiddle player Johnny takes himself out to crossroads late one night and does what any impatient, fame-hungry musician might do: he calls upon the Devil and asks for a shortcut to the top.

The deal seems simple. With one touch, the Devil will give Johnny the ability to play the fiddle better than anyone alive. Johnny gets the fame, the fortune and the adoring fans he has always dreamed of. There is, of course, one small catch. Isn't there always.

What follows is a fast, funny and irreverent comedy packed with rhyming dialogue, live music, larger-than-life characters, ridiculous negotiations, romance, rock ’n’ roll and sky high stakes.

Inspired by the classic folklore of musicians making deals at the crossroads and filled with playful nods to The Devil Went Down to Georgia, Johnny V Devil is a theatrical battle between greed and friendship, shortcuts and hard-earned wisdom.
